I started running at the age of 30, after the birth of my second daughter. It was a wonderful stress relief as I adjusted to life as the parent of a special needs child. I ran my first half marathon that in 2007, and my first marathon a year later, finishing in 3:31. As I embark on my 40's I will attempt to lower my marathon PR from 3:04 to sub 3:00. I have been working in the fitness industry for the past 8 years as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I have completed 10 marathons, including the Boston marathon. I realize the importance of strength training and the positive impact it can have on your running including injury prevention, getting faster, and becoming stronger. Aside from fitness, I love to spend time with my husband and 2 kids.
